The Children's Voices Conference (CVC2026) is a free international interdisciplinary conference providing a platform to share research about innovative methods, theories and partnerships with children, families and practitioners that support social justice and inclusion for children.

CVC2026 (previously called the Early Childhood Voices Conferences – ECV2020, ECV2022, ECV2024) is a free biennial conference organised by the Charles Sturt University Children’s Voices Centre (previously Early Childhood Interdisciplinary Research Group) as an opportunity to present research in a virtual online space.

Conference Theme

We invite contributions on a wide range of topics related to the following sub-themes:

• Children’s rights, voices, and perspectives
• Children's inclusion
• Children's communication
• Children's learning and activities
• Children's health and disability
• Children's services workforce and policy

All submissions must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

Abstract submissions must be made electronically via EasyChair.

Each abstract will undergo an anonymous peer review process and will be evaluated on originality, significance, clarity, and relevance to the conference topics. 

All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings.

Important Dates

Abstract submission deadline: Monday 11 May, 2026 (Late submisssions will not be accepted)

Notification to authors: June/July, 2026

Pre-recorded presentations due: Monday 3 August, 2026

Venue

The conference will be held entirely online and asychronous.
