We are delighted to announce that the 19th conference of the International Federation of Classification Societies (IFCS 2026) is scheduled to be held in Milan, Italy, from July 14th to 16th, 2026. This event is a collaborative effort between the Classification and Data Analysis Group (ClaDAG) of the Italian Statistical Association, the Departments of Statistics and Quantitative Methods of the University of Milano-Bicocca, and the Department of Economics, Management, and Quantitative Methods of the University of Milano.
Important Participation Information
In order to participate in the conference as a speaker for oral presentations, submission of an abstract is mandatory. For the poster session, please see the specific guidelines.
- Deadline for submission of single abstracts: March 15th, 2026 (23:59 CET)
- Notification to authors of single abstracts: March 31st, 2026 (23:59 CET)
- Deadline for poster submissions: May 29 th, 2026 (23:59 CET)
Guidelines for Authors
Oral presentations
Prepare your abstract using one of the following template. Please do not change any layout format.
To start the submission, you have to choose one of the following types of sessions.
- Contributed Session
- Invited Session
- Organized Session
- Poster Session
For Contributed Session: please choose one topic in the list.
For Invited Session: please choose the title of your session in the list.
For Organized Session: please choose the title of your session in the list.
The abstract for these three types of submission must contain at least 500 words and at most 1000 words (reference excluded). The document cannot exceed two pages.
Poster session
Prepare your poster and upload it as a PDF. Please note that the poster board size is 70 cm x 100 cm.
A short abstract of up to 250 words is required for submission.
IFCS offers awards for the Student Poster Competition. If you are interested in the award, please remember to apply by the same deadline (May 29, 2026). You can find the instructions here.
